Family of new Jersey – Roxanne Yates, her 7-year-old daughter and boyfriend Jaden Roxanne, Adam Sweeney, narrowly missed a waterspout.
They went for a walk on the marshland in a canoe near Delaware Bay, when suddenly, on their way they encountered a water funnel.
«She was moving towards us, it was so loud,» he told NBC Roxanne. «You can see everything – how water rotates as it rises, twists. Roxanne and Jaden panic, and I must confess, too,» added Adam.
The funnel was already in literally twenty feet from their boat, but a last-minute water tornado made a sharp turn to the right, «let them». The family immediately decided to get out of the water.
«The only thing I wanted to do is hold my daughter and make sure she’s all right,» said Roxanne.
They called 911 because after a tornado surge was too small, so they can get home.
«It was a real test,» said Adam. Fortunately, besides nervous shock, with the family never happened.
