After the test drive of electric car Tesla , the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the development of such vehicles it is necessary to aspire to the Belarusian automobile industry.
«The world is moving in this direction. Americans created the supercar. Well done! Tesla has created a lovely car,» said the President.
Lukashenko said that he is familiar with the newly established Belarusian electric vehicles on the basis of Geely, and it looks decent. But he acknowledged that the level of Tesla Belarusian counterpart so far away.
The head of Belarus has recommended that the Russian developers of electric cars to pay attention to where is the battery in a Tesla. He noted that the location of the battery on the bottom of the machine helps to keep the car at high speed and to balance the traffic.
Lukashenko stressed that the competence of the developers and the development of science has reached such a level that Belarus must not lag behind the advanced countries. He noted that the demand for cars with internal combustion engine will gradually fade away.
«Fortunately, we fell into the stream. Today’s trend in the world is a clean technology, clean cars, clean vehicles, is the replacement of hydrocarbons to clean fuel. Electricity is like fuel», – noted the President.
