Another Typhoon could exacerbate catastrophic flooding in Vietnam

Emerging Typhoon Hanoun threatens China and Vietnam affected by the deadly floods. As of Friday morning, the element was classified as a tropical storm and was located in the South China sea near the Philippine island of Luzon.

According to forecasts from Accuweather, on Saturday evening Hanoun will intensify to a hurricane 1 category and move in the direction of the mainland. It is expected that on Sunday he will reach the Chinese province of Hainan, located on the eponymous island. Local residents should prepare for severe thunderstorms, dangerous winds, landslides and disruptions in power supply.

Echoes of the Typhoon will be felt in mainland China, particularly in Guangdong province and Hong Kong.

The trajectory of the Hanoun directed towards North Vietnam — weaked to a tropical storm, it will fall on the region Tuesday. It will exacerbate the emergency situation which arose here earlier this week — after tropical depression 23W, the country suffers from severe flooding, which killed 40 people, destroyed thousands of houses, highways and power lines.
