In Italy collapsed road bridge: 22 dead, 13 injured

In Italian Genoa today, August 14, collapsed road bridge.

According to preliminary information, during storm winds collapsed a 200-meter section of the bridge Morandi in the industrial area of the city.

Now rescuers apart the rubble, one man has pulled out of the wreckage — he’s alive, his helicopter was sent to the hospital.

According to some reports, the collapsed sections of the bridge were at least 10 cars. How many are there and how many under the bridge yet.

The representative of police of Genova Maria Luisa Catalano stated that «work continues». According to the latest information, confirmed the death of 22 people, 13 were injured.

As the Minister of internal Affairs of Italy , Matteo Salvini, on the site of the tragedy employs more than 200 firefighters and rescuers.

Usually on the bridge Morandi is quite busy traffic. It links the Northern regions (Lombardy and Piedmont) to the beaches of Liguria and is one of the main roads leading to the West, to France.
