CBS had to hire security for Leslie Stahl after interviewing Trump for 60 Minutes

According to sources, CBS hired a full-time security guard for 60 Minutes correspondent Leslie Stahl after she received death threats over an interview with President Trump.

According to TMZ, an unknown person phoned the home of one of Stahl's relatives just hours before the president posted the interview on Facebook, threatening her family and «saying something about neo-Nazis.»

The Los Angeles Police Department did not say if an investigation was ongoing. Presumably, security guards accompany Stahl both in public and at home.

Trump posted a recording of the 60 Minutes interview, which the White House did for archival purposes, on the Internet last Thursday, saying he wanted to show CBS “bias and hatred”. The channel, in turn, condemned Trump's «unprecedented decision» to release the video and stressed that this would not prevent him from «providing a complete and fair» recording of the interview.

As a result, the show was watched by a record 17 million people — a record number of viewers since the interview with Stormy Daniels in 2018.
