Denmark to kill 17 million minks due to mutated COVID-19 virus

The first cases of COVID-19 mutation in minks were recorded back in June 2020, after employees of mink farms fell ill. The country's government reacted categorically to the situation, announcing that it would kill all minks on farms.

After that, it became known about 12 people infected with coronavirus from minks in 5 other countries: Spain, Italy, USA, the Netherlands and Sweden. A total of 214 patients are known to have been infected from animals.
