In the state of Ohio owners frozen to death dogs will be indicted in animal cruelty.
According to the Sheriff’s office Butler Countydog was found in her booth, «frozen to death due to severe cold weather.»
«Sheriff [Richard] Jones would like to remind everyone that freezing to death is a horrible way for destruction of the animal,» – said in the appeal, which calls the Sheriff families who are not able to fully care for their Pets during extreme temperatures, to seek help in his office.
A similar situation occurred on Christmas eve in the County of Knox, Illinois. Non-profit organization «Society of protection of animals» the County got a call from the owner who kept his dog outside when the temperature is below zero, not knowing that she was pregnant.
When arrived at the scene the employees of the shelter, we found that 8 newborn puppies froze to death. Their mother and another puppy were also on the verge of freezing.
«Her body temperature (ewanishan dog) was very low: it is below 95 degrees (35 C), and then we started to worry that the dog may be hypothermia,» – said Kurt Kramer from «society of protection of animals».
Now pet and her surviving puppy are in a shelter and get the help they need. After recovery, the volunteers will be able to shelter rescued animals. Media do not report, will show whether the owners of Illinois are the same charges as in the first case.
