On the body of four-year old girl from Michiganwho probably died after being tortured by mother and her boyfriend, were found so badly burned, that it fell off the thumb, and in the bath and found the charred skin.
Police found little Gabby Barrett at about 10:45 a.m. January 1, when arrived on a call to the hostel Sumpter Township. The child was unconscious, «her limbs were severe burns».
Then the girl was urgently taken to the hospital at Ann arbor, where she was pronounced dead. The horrific details of her injuries were included in court documents obtained by the Detroit Free Press.
According to police, officers found the charred skin of the baby in the pipes of bathtubs, and on her foot was missing a thumb.
Watten County medical examiner called the case of Gabby «the most severe case of death of a child», which he had seen in his 30 years of experience.
Investigators say the couple’s home, where she lived a girl, soaked with animal waste, in addition, it stored weapons and drugs.
24-year-old candice Diaz, the mother of the murdered girl, and her boyfriend, 28-year-old brad fields, hiding and been arrested during their journey to South Georgia.
Diaz and fields was charged with murder, cruel treatment of a child and torture, reports CBS Detroit.
According to court documents, the girl’s mother told police that her daughter was herself on fire. Both partners admitted that they have «severe mental illness».
Diaz asserts that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety. Fields, in turn, announced that she suffers from schizoaffective disorder, social phobia, agoraphobia and posttraumatischer stress disorder.
