The C-130 aircraft crashed near the airport in Georgia

Military transport aircraft C-130 National guard crashed near the international airport Savannah/Hilton head (GA).

Agency for emergency management Chatham County announced in Twitterthat about 11:30 a.m. the plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The wreckage aerosun are at the intersection of highway 21 and Gulfstream Road.

There has been a plane crash at the intersection of Hwy 21 at Crossgate Rd. Roads will be shut down. Please avoid the area.

International airport Savannah/Hilton head is located 10 km North-West of downtown Savannah. At the moment there is no information about the victims.

At the scene arrived firemen who managed to extinguish the fire by 12:20.

The airport authority is asking customers to check with the airline the status of your flight.
