Just this week, police released details of the death of 3-year-old Mariah woods of North Carolina, whose body was found in a Creek in December 2017.
According to the coroner, the baby body discovered in plastic trash bags full of stones. The girl had facial injuries, bruising and abrasions, but the cause of death was poisoning by chloroform. Large quantities of the anesthetic may be toxic.
«We suspect that the person arrested had used a chemical that the baby lost consciousness, but it led to her death,» said Sheriff Hans Miller.
Mariah woods went missing in late November of 2017 from home in Jacksonville. According to her mother, who told police she put the child to bed around 11pm and in the morning did not find daughter in the room.
After a few days of searching the girl found dead in a desert area approximately 48 km from the house.

Prosecutors have already said they will get him the death penalty.
