Police have arrested a third suspect in the case of robbery, assault on a retired NYPD officer and rape his wife at their home in Brooklyn.
Monday, October 8, at about 5 a.m., three strangers — two men and one woman broke into the home of the spouses and attacked them.
According to officers, the armed robbers allegedly struck 72-year-old retired Lieutenant in the head and slashed his face with a utility knife.
After that, the criminals rushed to the wife of a former police officer and raped her. Then the three fled in a car a pair of blue 2012 Honda Civic. The injured couple was taken to the hospital.
A week after the incident one of the suspects 20-year-old Tyrice the Rushing was seen on video from surveillance cameras in a dark jacket with the words «dreamville». But law enforcement agencies managed to arrest him only on Friday evening, November 17, in Missouri.

He was extradited to new York and must be brought to court in Brooklyn, which is prosecuting him in this case.
Two alleged accomplices Rushing — 21-year-old lance Jyrkinen and 25-year-old was Shirnel Sobers — arrested the next day after the robbery, on 8 October. They were charged with attempted murder, assault, burglary, Grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.

As reported in the NYPD, within three months the couple’s home three times hacked. Two previous incidents occurred in July and September, when the robbers stole a gun and another car.
Several neighbors claim that with older spouses live their adult son who has some «problems». The police confirmed this information and did not mention the names of the victims.
