Wednesday, may 15, police in Florida have arrested a 33-year-old man accused in that he spat in an elderly Jewish couple and threatened to sexually assault another group. The incident occurred in late March, in Bal harbour (Florida).
According to local police, 33-year-old Daniel V. Starikov, a California resident, was Jogging when she saw a group of Jews returning from synagogue.
Old people came to the first group at Collins Avenue, clenched his fists and took a pose as though ready to fight, — said in the police report.
«I’ll show you,’ he said. I’ll stick my *** you in the throat. You Jews, I will catch you».
After about five minutes the Old man was faced with another group of Jews. According to the report, he spit in an elderly couple.
According to the victims, they were attacked because of their Jewish faith. Most of the men wore yarmulkes, while another was dressed in traditional Hasidic clothing. After almost two months the police looked at the surveillance camera, was able to find and arrest the suspect.

Mayor Bal harbour Gabriel Groisman noted that the Jewish community of the town expressed gratitude to the police for what they have spent so much time on investigation work to apprehend the suspect.
«It gives everyone a sense of security and confidence that our police Department protects us. Although our Jewish residents, of course, was shocked,» said the mayor Groisman.
Although the Jewish community of Bal harbour are very numerous, this place has its own history of anti-Semitism and racism.
For 36 years the club exclusive «Bal Harbour» forbade Jews and blacks to join. This practice ended in 1982 after the club was sued for $10 million.
