Grandpa, who was accused of killing 18-month-old granddaughter fell from the window of a cruise ship, blamed his blindness

50-year-old Salvatore «Sam» Anello from Indiana, accused of the manslaughter of her granddaughter Chloe Wiegand said that he’s not worried about the investigation because «the worst» has already happened. In an exclusive interview with CBS News Anello first told about the moment when the 18-month-old baby fell out of a window of a cruise ship in Puerto Rico.

«The lack of Chloe is the worst thing, said Anello. — There’s nothing worse they can do to me than what has already happened.»

In July, the girl slipped from the hands of his grandfather and fell from the 11th floor of the ship, moored in Puerto Rico, on a concrete pier dock in San Juan. The baby died on the spot.

«I’m colorblind, said Anello CBS News. I don’t know. I just didn’t see it… I was told that for this reason it could happen.»

Medical card confirmed his condition. Anello can be sentenced to three years imprisonment in case convicted. The next session will take place on December 17.
