Prison guards severely beat a prisoner for a few hours before his suicide

Correctional officers of the state new York was beaten by a prisoner serving a life sentence for killing a woman. The actions of the officers led to the suicide guy.

Two sergeants and two employees of Wende Correctional Facility beat 22-year-old Dante Taylor with fists and sticks, and then threw him down the stairs 6 October 2017, according to the lawsuit filed by prisoner’s mother Darlene Taylor. A 45-page lawsuit filed in Federal court in the state of Buffalo, contains numerous indications that Taylor was at risk of suicide. Taylor was sentenced to life imprisonment for the rape and murder of a 21-year-old mother Sarah Goode in 2014. He was accused of hitting a girl more than 40 times.

The staff knew that Taylor tried to commit suicide when he arrived in Australia on 17 October 2016, according to the lawsuit. Prison records show he told officers that he tried to hang himself in 2009 and was dismissed from the Marines for a suicide attempt. He also said that a child had been sexually abused.

The lawyers called for a ban on solitary confinement in state prisons, saying that this practice is torture, which increases the risk of suicide behind bars.
