A surfer survived a shark, struck her in the eye during the attack

Brave surfer from New Zealand miraculously survived after a shark attack. However, it is not just lucky: a man punched a shark in the eye, shouting «get out» before the predator left him alone.

60-year-old Nick Minogue enjoyed the surf, spending a weekend on the beach Puunui near Auckland when the shark attacked him. Anyone would have panicked in this situation, but Nick managed to keep his cool and think about their actions. The man remembers that there were already quite far from shore, when I felt a blow to the elbow and forearm.

«By the time I realized what was happening, she grabbed the teeth the front of the Board.» says the surfer.

Realizing the criticality of the situation, Nick decided to act and hit a huge shark fist in the eye, however, the first attempt was not successful. Fortunately, the Braves did not panic, and shouting to the shark, that it was removed, successfully struck in huge predator eyes.

«She had quite large eyes, about three tiles wide,» recalls Nick. «Eyes like looked up and rolled.»

In between attacks the shark kept squeezing the teeth the front of Board, then plucked the jaw, and then, finally, touching nick’s fin and tail, has left the surfer alone. Likely, the shark was shocked by nick’s behavior, and not surprisingly — it’s not every day dangerous predators get from surfers punch in the eye.

It is not known what species of shark attacked nick, but experts suggest that judging by the description, it was a great white shark.

Rescue surf club Panahi was closed two hours after the attacks to ensure that other guests are in no danger.
