Soldier of the US army today charged with the murder of his wife and the police of the state of new York.
As told by the police superintendent of new York state George P. beach II, on Sunday evening, the victim patrol 36 — year-old Joel Davis took a call about shots fired in the town of Theresa, near the canadian border.
When Davis approached the house at the address, he was shot. The patrol died on the spot. When backup arrived, the shooter was Justin Walters surrendered himself. In the house police found shot dead his wife, 27-year-old Nicole Walters.
It was later revealed that the suspect shot another woman, but she was still alive.
The state police reported that Walters is the current soldier of the U.S. army, a division which is located in Fort Drum (on the main photo).
The deceased policeman is survived by his wife and three children. The Governor of the state of new York Andrew Cuomo said that the whole state is mourning the loss of Davis.
«Patrolman Davis for four years he served in the police of the state of new York. His death is another sad reminder of the risks that are confronted every day law enforcement officers to protect and serve the people of our state,» said Cuomo.
