Hurricane Harvey continues to claim the lives: a woman drowned in the car

Hurricane Harvey continues to rage over Southeast Texas. Now it is known about two victims of the disaster.

According to the Daily News, yesterday, Saturday August 26, a resident of Harris County died in his own car when he tried to drive through a flooded street and for some reason opened the door.

Earlier it became known about the death of men in Rockport, County of Aransas. His house caught fire, and the man could not get out because of the raging of the elements.

The Harris County Sheriff also said that there were reports about the death of a woman with a child on a flooded street, but, fortunately, they managed to save. Drivers are urged not to drive through roads that have turned into rivers.

It is expected that the death toll may rise because heavy rains in the disaster area will not stop for a few days.

Some houses near the airport and William P. Hobby is South of Houston already flooded to the second floors. Authorities are asking people not to go out, to stay in the house and climb the roofif the water will reach a critical level.

The national weather service Houston also warns of the dangers of tornadoes for Brazoria Holiday Lakes, Bailey’s Prairie, Sugar Land, Mission Bend, Pecan Grove.
