Previously, the laws of Berkeley were allowed to visit public places in the Nude and every inhabitant of the city had every right to walk around in the buff. But that all changed in 1994 when one student showed up with no clothes to class.

Since then full nudity in the city under the ban, and only men may with impunity appear in public without shirts. Women don’t have that luxury, and not all of them like that.

Recently, several women turned to Worthington with a request to correct the injustice and he decided to support them.

Supporters of nakedness met, the position of the legislator with delight. «We warmly welcome this proposal,» said Nadine Gary, President of GoTopless, «We actively fought for equality in the past decade and are happy to see the support of politicians.»

Note that a resident of new York for 25 years have the right to go outside without the upper clothes. Oddly enough, the city of Los Angeles more conservative. In 2005, the city refused to approve a legislative proposal legalizing partial nudity for women.
