New Mexico could become the first state in the United States government stores for the sale of marijuana and to subsidize medical cannabis for the poor.
The bill supports the majority of Democrats and Republicans to the legislature of the state, so there is almost 100% probability that it will soon pass.
The idea of the bill belongs to three senators from the Republican party. They are urged to legalize marijuana, but to directly state controlled the majority of sales.
Under the bill, new Mexico will charge 17% sales tax recreational marijuana, and allow possession up to 1 ounce (28 grams) of pot.
In addition, the state will give subsidies to medical cannabis for the poor people with «serious illnesses».

Ten States and the Washington (D. C.) previously legalized recreational marijuana. The debate on this issue is underway in new York and new Jersey. But in Hawaii, a bill to legalize cannabis failed last week.
