Ocasio-Cortez took a vacation to freshen up

The youngest Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a fierce Democrat and a strong advocate for women’s rights, again surprised everyone. While knowlespole congressmen are settling into new offices and are preparing for hard work on the bill, she said that taking leave to look after themselves. And this in the midst of clashes between Democrats and the tramp from behind the wall to the South, the Saudi dynasty in the East and global warming around the world!

I’m taking a few days to take care of myself before what is sure to be an eventful term.

For working people, immigrants, the poor, self-care is political — not because we want it to be, but bc of the inevitable shaming of someone doing a face mask while financially stressed./1 https://t.co/EWdWFmPwet

«I take a few days to take care of yourself before you can truly eventful event», — the politician wrote on Twitter. However, the 29-year-old MP from the Bronx not only broke the conservative tradition of the Congress, where it is not customary to publicly declare personal matters and time off for a trip to the hairdresser. She decided to hit the generally accepted norm of behaviour for the employees of women in the bureaucracy and the corporations, calling it a political act: «For working people, immigrants, and poor self-care is political in nature — not because we want to, but because inevitably ashamed of, to hide that its financial difficulties».

Ocasio-Cortez intends to invite its friends and supporters to spend time together. «I believe that public officials do a disservice to our communities, pretending to be perfect. A campaign based on the story «supernatural» stories, and I respectfully disagree with this tactic …».

Previously, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez repeatedly shared in social networks regrets that the election campaign and work in Congress knocked it out of the ordinary gauge. Often have to sleep in jeans and makeup on, not, as before, 3-4 times a week to do yoga, have something horrible to eat, especially for dinner, etc. Congresswoman believes that employers have no right to force a woman to refuse to care for themselves and maintain normal rhythm of life, and women should not be ashamed of their needs and be ready to fight for their right to be oneself.
