The Governor of Kentucky, Matt Bevin criticizes closing schools in the cold

The Governor of Kentucky, Matt Bevin disappointed by the fact that the closing of schools in Louisville because of the cold weather. In an interview on NewsRadio 840 WHAS he said that Americans teach children to be too «soft».

In Louisville was established frosty weather. -20 here today, the district decided to suspend classes in schools. «Well, there’s no ice or snow. I mean, what is happening to America? We become soft, Terry, we become soft,» commented the news broadcast Bevin.

«I mean, what (happened) to America? We’re getting soft, Terry. We’re getting soft.»

Gov. Matt Bevin expressed criticism after dozens of school districts canceled classes Wednesday due to dangerously cold temperatures throughout Kentucky.

Republican Governor, entered the race, acknowledged that «little jokes» and the safety of children is always better, that is, to be safe than sorry, but said: «I was a little worried that in America, on this and every other front we send the message to our young people that if life is hard, you can curl up in the fetal position somewhere in a warm place and wait until the situation will not change. And that’s not right. Just no.»

Republican Robert Goforth, Bevin party opponent in the gubernatorial election, immediately responded to this musing Governor’s sharp criticism: «the Guy is easy to say, he went to Gould Academy, a preparatory school for $60 thousand a year.»

Teacher one of the schools of Louisville Jessica Dueñas urged the Governor «to show how he is strong and tomorrow morning to stand on the street for 30 minutes as if waiting for the bus», and reminded that not all children are quite well dressed, as many parents experience financial difficulties. Jessica, being «teacher of the year» and candidate education Association of Kentucky, do not come down with this topic and published several tweets criticizing the Governor, ending with the words «prepare your coat!»
