«I think it’s great if people want to get the blue passport, said the current Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2017. — I remember the feeling of personal loss and outrage when they were taken».

According to the Index of passports, the UK will become the 82nd country that uses blue passport covers.

«Returning to the iconic blue-and-gold figure, a British passport will again be intertwined with our national identity. I’m really looking forward to getting a new passport, said Priti Patel. Exit from the European Union has given us a unique opportunity to restore our national identity and pave a new path in the world.»

In published Saturday in The Times claimed that British passports will be manufactured at the plant in Tczew in Poland, the Franco-Dutch company in accordance with the procurement rules of the EU.
