Thursday, Cameron Ahmad, Director of public relations of the Prime Minister, issued a statement which reads:
«After medical advice Sophie Gregoire Trudeau today passed a test COVID-19. The test result is positive. After medical Board, she remains in isolation. She feels well, takes all the recommended precautions, and her symptoms remain mild.
Prime Minister Trudeau is in good health without symptoms. As a precaution and on the advice of doctors, he will be in isolation for a scheduled period of 14 days. Also, on the advice of doctors, he will not be tested at this stage, because he has no symptoms. For the same reason doctors say that there is no risk for those who recently had contact with him».

According to Ahmad, on Wednesday evening, Sophie grégoire Trudeau began to experience symptoms that resemble the flu, after returning from lectures.
A personal message from Trudeau says:
«I would like to say a big thank you to all those who came to me asking how I was doing. Although I experience the unpleasant symptoms of the virus, I’ll be back on your feet. Finding quarantined at home — nothing compared to other canadian families that can make it through and for those who are facing serious health problems».

The two leaders discussed developments related to the pandemic coronavirus, and their efforts to combat the virus. Political leaders in several countries around the world are infected with coronavirus
In the UK, according to the BBC, the Minister of health of the country Nadine Dorris was diagnosed with coronavirus. She is also a conservative member of Parliament.
In Brazil Fabio Weingarten, senior Advisor to the President of Brazil Air of Bolsonaro, has tested positive for the coronavirus, just five days after he was among a group of officials who met with trump.
In Iran, at least 23 members of Parliament have a virus, as the head of emergency services in the country. On Monday, Mohammad Mirmohammadi, a close companion and Advisor to Iran’s Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died from the coronavirus. The virus has also killed a former Iranian Ambassador to the Vatican, and a newly elected member of Parliament.
In Italy the Democratic party leader Nicola Zingaretti has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Of the more than 127 000 people infected worldwide, more than 4,700 have died.
