The German authorities said in a press release that, according to «irrefutable evidence,» opposition leader Alexei Navalny was poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok group. A similar substance was used during the poisoning of former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal in 2018.
Traces of the poison were revealed by tests carried out by the Bundeswehr laboratory — after Russian doctors said they had found nothing that would indicate the politician's poisoning.
«Novichok» can only be used by the state (GRU, FSB). This is beyond any reasonable doubt.
