On Wednesday the famous television journalist Larry king has announced that in the summer he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Fortunately, the disease was discovered in the first stage, and now he successfully overcame it, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
According to 83-year-old journalist, a disease he was diagnosed during a routine examination by a doctor: the doctor noticed on the x-ray «light spot». After that he was given a CT scan.
«They told me: «you Have lung cancer, but quite small in the initial stage,» — said the king.
Surgery to remove tumors, the TV presenter made on July 17 at medical center in Los Angelee.
After the surgery, the doctors said that education proved to be malignant, and if it was discovered later, it could have been much worse.
After two weeks rehabilitation the presenter was already back in service and returned to his work.
And although he had to remove 20% of the lung, now Larry king feels great and is full of working enthusiasm. «I’m probably going to die and live», — joked the presenter.
