President trump said Wednesday that the US Federal government will provide police with the Las Vegas $ 1 million as compensation for overtime of the officers involved in the investigation of the mass shooting that took place at the beginning of this month.
«We are pleased to announce that we have allocated $ 1 million to Las Vegas to help local law enforcement working in full force to respond to the tragedy that occurred last Sunday,» wrote trump on Twitter.
In a written statement the justice Department said that the money will come from the Fund emergency response Bureau of Justice Assistance.
Money is the «recognition of hard work and dedication of law enforcement officials in Las Vegas and Nevada, who have worked tirelessly since the tragic shooting last week,» — explained in Department of justice.
The Agency also reported that «continue to work with officials of Las Vegas to solve the problems of law enforcement and questions on the costs of public safety related to this tragedy.»
«We also continue to pray for those who mourn and are injured during a mass shooting in Las Vegas,» said trump, speaking at the White House on Wednesday.
