Pharmacist told that some members of Congress suffer from Alzheimer’s

Wednesday morning news resource Stat published an article which was dedicated to old-fashioned pharmacythat has been serving the valiant servants of the American people. In General, the material was devoted to the history of pharmacy and its work in the pharmaceutical industry. However, keen readers have found there is one very curious comment, which was instantly picked up by other media.

The owner of the pharmacy, Mike Kim, told reporters Stat that sometimes he has to give congressmen the drugs that are assigned for serious diseases, for example, when diabetes and Alzheimer’s.

«At first it’s great, then you realize that the issue of drugs, which are associated with quite serious health problems. And it’s the people who run the country. It makes you wonder about what people taking the main laws of the country, can’t even remember what happened yesterday.»

On this statement it is obvious that some members of Congress suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or any other disease that might interfere with them to do their work properly.

The Internet reacted instantly, like a tabloid publication, and, of course, social networks. In Vox and The New York Post has a article that sets this review for those who don’t want to read all text material from Stat. Twitter users expressed dissatisfaction, saying that people with Alzheimer’s cannot and should not govern the country.

«If you suffer from Alzheimer’s or dementia, you have no right to go into the Senate or Congress and make the decision for the people of the United States».

Any member of Congress who is battling Alzheimers disease must IMMEDIATELY RESIGN. I do not care what party they are in.

«Any member of Congress who is struggling with Alzheimer’s, needs to resign immediately. And no matter to what party he belongs to».

After such reaction of the public, Kim, owns the 150-year-old pharmacythat supports the «residents» of Capitol hill, hastened to make excuses. The pharmacist says that he spoke «hypothetically», not referring to anything specific.

«I spoke in General about the diseases which are characteristic of the whole American population, including members of the house of representatives and the Senate, because they are also people, like you and me.»

The man said that he does not possess any information about anyone suffering from political Alzheimer’s, and even if it were true, he wouldn’t have to share this knowledge, as it is a medical mystery.

In response, Vox noted that the original statement does not in any way violate laws on privacy of patients, because Kim did not mention any specific names.
