The widow of murdered detective NYPD of Ventana Liu yesterday, July 25, gave birth to a girl.
The child was conceived from frozen sperm Liu, who died in December 2014.
A healthy girl named Angelina, weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces was born at the Weill Cornell Hospital in the Upper East Side.
Liu and his wife, Sunny, was married only three monthswhen a police officer fatally shot, but they always dreamed of becoming parents.
According to ABC, Sonny never for a moment doubted that she would have a daughter. The night after Venian died, the girl had a dream in which her husband handed her the girl.
«When I did the procedure of artificial insemination, he said to his friend: it’s a girl. And you were right,» says Sonny.
Sonny adds that can’t wait to tell angelina that her father was a hero. She is also going to bring his daughter to the police station 84 in Brooklyn, where he worked as Wenyan, because the cops in it were «one big family».
