Despite the catastrophic floods in Texas, life goes on and children continue to be born. After all, the new inhabitants of our planet have nothing to do the weather — they can’t wait to be born.
On Sunday, in the midst of hurricane Harvey in Houston at the local woman went into labor. At this point, the Foundation of her home has already begun to sink into the water. The woman’s husband called 911, but emergency service is not answered.
We had to find a way out of the situation and the couple asked for help from neighbors in an apartment complex, the parents were sent to all tenants emails in the hope that some of them are midwives or nurses.
Soon they gathered a queue of people wanting to help, and an hour later there arrived the truck with physicians. As the water level already has risen to a dangerous level, people formed a human chain, with which the laboring woman got in the vehicle.
An unusual sight was captured and posted to Facebook one of the neighbors. «I live in Houston just a week, but this situation forced me to cry with joy…these moments were precious — they remind me of all the good there is in the world,» she said.
During the active phase of natural disasters in Texas were born 10 children — four in Rochefort, which took the brunt of Harvey.
One of the babies was named after the hurricane.
