Storm in the West, Washington: 1 person killed, 5 wounded

Destructive winds and heavy rain hit Western Washington on Monday. Caused by the storm killed one woman and at least 5 people were injured.

Lost mother at age 30 years, died in Renton (Washington state), approximately 20 minutes drive South from Seattle. In the car, at the wheel which it was, crashed the tree will not survive under the pressure of strong winds. Among the victims also the sister of the deceased who were with her in the car and 15-year-old girl from Port orchard, mobile home which also fell the tree.

The hurricane caused damage to power lines, de-energized houses more than 150 000 residents of Seattle. In some areas of Washington state, wind gusts reaching 80 miles per hour, on Sunday in the mountainous areas there was snow. According to the National weather service stormy weather conditions will remain in Washington until the end of the week. However, the strong rain and wind did not abate on Tuesday evening, may again join abundant snowfall, which will last until Wednesday.
