On January 30, the weather service has issued a warning about a snow storm in the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura County. Topanga canyon remains closed due to landslide. Driving northwards on interstate 5 in Boyle heights was stopped about 6:00 due to the landslide, but resumed around 7:30 in the morning.

West traffic on the 210 freeway was stopped on the morning of February 4 because of an accident involving a truck. According to Caltrans, two right lanes are open but the left two lanes remain closed while firefighters clean up the spilled fuel.
