Atkins added: «People should be in this security. They really need to close in the house and defend themselves. Who knows what could happen with those 2 girls».
Bashall noted that officers together with employees of the California highway patrol arrived on scene within a few minutes. They interviewed witnesses and carefully examined the area. The chief of police didn’t go into details, but said that evidence left at the scene led to the arrest of Picard in Fresno on Wednesday.
Now Picard faced charges of indecent assault of a girl under 14 years of age, and illegal penetration into the dwelling.
Basgall told a bit about the girls in question. «When they were able to navigate and understand what’s going on, they gave the man back. They immediately went to the parent who called 911. These two little girls – the true heroines».
It is noted that Picard had previously arrested for illegal penetration into the dwelling and harassment. When the incident occurred, he was on probation.
Basgall said in Clovis for these crimes are not registered. Now officers are working with other agencies, to see if he commits crimes in other regions.
